Highground Kids is the Children's Ministry of Littleton Adventist Church.

This program presents the high calling of Jesus for children's lives and

also compliments the mountain environments of the Rocky Mountains.

In the wild baby animals are sheltered from danger among the trees of the forest.  In this room that is decorated in a mountain theme, as well as the current Bible story, small children experience the shelter of their parents and a loving leader and program.  The Forest curriculum includes songs that are simple and repetitive, up and down actions and snacks.

As little forest animals grow they venture into the meadow to eat.  Likewise, our Meadow children are extending their adventures to learn more about Jesus and his plan for their lives.  The Meadow curriculum includes acting out Bible stories, themed singing, learning how to use the Bible, memory work, games and age appropriate art work using the 252 Basics Curriculum.  We have two Meadow groups:  the 4 and 5 year olds meet upstairs in the Highground Campground and the 6-8 year olds go downstairs to a room decorated with a pool of water at the bottom of a waterfall and a log cabin, giving it the feel of a mountain meadow.

This room centers its theme in bears, mountain biking and four wheeling for kids ages 9-11.  The Adventure Trail curriculum includes more intense Bible activities, helping kids to really know the foundational layout of the Bible and how to find any verse or subject in the Bible, memory work and teaching on how to apply the Scriptures to individual life.  Starting September 5 and going through November, the Adventure Trail/Juniors begin their new curriculum study entitled "Live B.I.G." where "B.I.G." stands for "Believe In God".  Each student receives a DVD and study guide for their age group (tweens), including some contemporary Christian music videos.  For more information on the curriculum or for fun activities, please go to www.iLiveBIG.com.

Young people 12-14 are led to put Jesus to the test in their lives.  The decorating of the room concentrates on rock climbing and repelling.  The subject matter is Bible-centered and relational.  These young people begin a real understanding of who Jesus is for them personally.  In this class the kids study God's plan for their lives, socially, spiritually, mentally and physically, then learn how to put it into practice.   Starting March 1 we'll begin a new study called "Grapple".  This great interactive lesson study deals with topics that young adults are being challenged with on a daily basis.  Each student has access to their own online webpage where they can read the lesson, interact with their peers and their teachers.  For more information about Grapple you may go to our website -  http://www.mygrapple.com/JrHigh/thecliff.

The Meadow (Kindergarten and Primary) classes begin their morning in the Highground Kids campground for singing and Bible stories.

Every 2nd and 4th Sabbath of each month we have Kid's Church in the Highground Campground for kids ages 3-11 years old.  From 11:00 am to 12:15 pm kids sing, worship and have age appropriate action, games, crafts and Bible Stories.  Everyone will start in the Highground Campground and then split up with 2-5 year-olds going to the Meadow room downstairs and the 6-11 year olds staying with Ms. Linda in the Highground Campground.

Our children are also involved in outreach with our Secret Service Club program.  Our current program is supplying books for the Tri-County Health Department - please click on this link to get more information Books for Kids.  We have currently supplies 501 books from our church!
